So there’s a lot of hype happening about these atheist subway posters going up in NYC.

Apparently they were put together by an “anonymous doner” to promote atheism to New Yorkers.

Some religious New Yorkers are appalled by the ads suggesting that there is no God.  But my question to them is… “If they were posters promoting the belief in God, would you still be outraged?”  “Is it the fact that these posters are posing their beliefs on others, or is it just the idea of not believing in God that is terrifying you?”

If you are so confident in your belief in God, then let people question it.  If they question it, and your beliefs are still solid ground, then there is nothing for you to worry about now is there?

As a person who went to 11 years of Catholic school and still only believes in God sometimes (depending on my mood), I feel like the posters are doing no harm really.  At the end of the day people are going to believe what they what and what they feel is right in their heart.  No poster is going to change that. posted on 23.10.09
